GUELPH, ON – July 28, 2021 – Andy Reierson, CEO of RR46, is pleased to announce that ag-marketing veteran Rhett Hawkins is moving back home to Canada to help lead Kahntact, one of Canada’s top agri-food marketing communication companies and member of the RR46 family of companies.

Hawkins has held senior positions on the client, agency, and media sides of the agriculture business. He spent the last five years as enterprise account director at Farm Journal Media, the largest ag-focused publisher in the United States. He has also worked in business operations and marketing roles at Bayer and several leading advertising agencies.

“I’ve had the opportunity to help build business and marketing solutions from many sides of the table,” says Hawkins. “I enjoy working with a team to help identify goals and then ideate solutions to meet those goals. Agriculture clients require an integrated approach to marketing and communications, using everything from traditional publishing to new and emerging digital tactics. We all have a plethora of choices in what data points and information to use today to make the right decisions. I believe we’ll be able to partner with clients to identify the right information and media mixes to assist them in making calculated decisions that produce quantifiable results.”

Hawkins’ new role will be vice president of the agriculture division at RR46, the company that owns Kahntact and other marketing firms such as AdFarm, Giant Goat and Flint Group.

“We’re thrilled that Rhett is joining Kahntact and its growing team of veteran ag marketers,” says Reierson. “We have an award-winning creative and account service team that is primed for growth.”

Hawkins will actively work with current Kahntact president Len Kahn, whose responsibilities at Kahntact will decrease over the next year as Hawkins prepares to take on the role of president at Kahntact.

“Rhett has a fantastic lineage,” says Kahn, president of Kahntact. “His father had a storied career in the Canadian agriculture industry and Rhett grew up on a farm in southwestern Ontario. His unique skillset is going to serve Kahntact clients extremely well.”

Hawkins and his wife (Jennifer) have a 15-year-old son (Kaeden) and 13-year-old daughter (Delphine). They currently live near St. Louis, MO and plan to purchase a home near Guelph in the coming year.
